What is Web 2.0?:
Web 2.0 may sound “big” or confusing or very technical.
All it really means is get involved into “social” with your marketing;
social marketing is the term commonly used.

An example of this is to make a video that creates a buzz, then share it across social networking sites such as Myspace.com, YouTube.com, facebook.com, digg.com and you name it. A quirky video that makes people laugh or opens a discussion can bring thousands of website visitors. Best of all, this strategy is free. All it takes is some originality and some imagination.

Another example of web 2.0 marketing is to create a blog at blogger.com or wordpress.com and make it a must-see destination for web surfers interested in your niche. The main ingredients is creating unique content that people want to read and come back for more. So put on your thinking cap and put together a place you’d want to visit often!

Participating in the discussion were Aaron Cohen (Bolt), Scott Milener and Steven Lurie (Browster), Keith Teare (edgeio), Steven Marder (Eurekster), Joe Kraus (JotSpot), Jeremy Verba (Piczo), Auren Hoffman (Rapleaf), Chris Alden (Rojo), Gautam Godhwani (Simply Hired), Jonathan Abrams (Socializr), David Sifry (Technorati), Matt Sanchez (Video Egg) and Michael Tanne (Wink).

The topics discussed included:

How important and how big is the early adopter crowd?
